yourself

"People always say how you should be yourself, like 'yourself' is this definite thing, like a toaster or something."-My so-called life. I agree with this quote because I often hear people telling other people to be themselves like they truely know how the other person is acting isn't themselves. People are always changing so they really don't know themselves so how are they suppose to to act like themselves. If people didn't change the world I think would be boring because everyone would be stuck to their ways and never compromise with anything. Most people in high school are different in school then they are out of it. Some people are different their friends then they are to people the just met. I know for example that if a girl in the senior class was herself then no one would like her because she acts nice then talks trash behind their backs and she wears way too much makeup to be herself. I think she's scared to be herself because she wants to be popular and have people like her for what she is and what she looks like instead of who is she on the inside. I think people should always be themselves because that way you can never be called fake.
